DIY Make Your Own Febreze

Post

I have become a Febreze Fairy.  Since making my own Febreze with this recipe that I pinned from Homemade Mamas, I have been known to flit around the house spritzing everything in sight.  Does my family room need a litte spritz of my new Febreze?  Absolutely.   {spritz, spritz}  And how about my bedroom?  Could it use a little freshening up?  Why Yes.  Yes it does. {spritz, spritz} And heck, for just $.15 a bottle, I can flit and spritz all I want.  Can you believe that you can make this for $.15 instead of the $5.59 that it costs in the store? Wow! One of the great things about this recipe is that you probably already have all of the ingredients in your home right now!  All you need is 1/4 cup liquid fabric softener, 1 tsp baking soda and 2 cups of hot water.  How’s that for easy?   Pour all of the ingredients into a spray bottle and shake to mix. Make Your Own Febreze for approx $.15 a bottle! madefrompinterest.net

I specifically chose this fabric softener because of the “Mountain Fresh” smell.  Wouldn’t you want your house to smell “Mountain Fresh”?  Yeah.  Me too. And if you are wondering where I got that industrial size bucket of baking soda, (I know you’re jealous) my hubby works for Clabber Girl and we have, like, a 100 year supply of the stuff.   Clabber Girl is a great company with a great product and we are so lucky to be connected with them. So make your own Febreze today and become a Febreze Fairy like me!  And if you are in the market for a more permanent air freshener, check out our Homemade Air Freshener!

This Mountain Fresh Pin Rocks!

Will this take the stench out of my boys’ sweaty, soccer-infested, locker-room smelling bedroom? I will definitely be trying this if it does!!!! haha!

Have you had any problems with it geting funky as it sits? I know the other homade cleaning stuff I make calls for distiled water to avoid the funk tap water gets as it sits.
Thank you for posting this recipe it is just what I was looking for. And funny thing I just picked up some fabric softener at the $1 store to get the tangles out of dd dolls hair. Funny part being that is the first time in m life I have ever bought softener and so that I have that and the. Went looking for this recipe hits me as a funny haha moment.
