In reply to Mindy. Mindy- I also don't have a cake pop maker and my nephew wanted to make this for his mom for her birthday. I just took a miniature cupcake pan and baked them. They obviously aren't completely round but since it was all that I had I just went with it but it still looked cute with the different colors on the inside.

In reply to Traci Marcotte. Traci,I worried about the same thing. They do have a more dense texture than the rest of the cake, but they are not dry and crumbly at all. I think the are protected because they are surrounded by batter and pick up some moisture from that. Sherri

In reply to Mindy. Mindy - Great question. You have two options for making cake pops. You can either get a Babycakes Cake Pop Maker or you can purchase a cake pop pan at a store that sells kitchen supplies. The difference is that the cake pop maker is electric, while the pan you would fill, put on the lid and bake in the oven. You will need one of these pieces of equipment to be able to make this cake.
