Earlier this week, I posted about having a craft day with my darling newly married daughter. We made a Spring Mesh Wreath and my daughter has reported that it consumed almost all of her door but she is loving it!

Well, we really had a gangbuster day that day because we ALSO made these cute and super easy coasters! Now that she and her new hubby have bought their own furniture she is concerned about water rings on their coffee table from setting a glass on it. Hmmm….funny that she never really cared about water rings on MY furniture while growing up! Okay, so I am just giving her a bad time but we were really excited to make these tile coasters that she pinned from Pinterest.

Here is what you will need:

4×4 tiles from Home Depot or Lowe’s (ours cost $.88 ea), scrapbook paper, mod podge, clear enamel spray, felt or plastic pads, a foam paint brush and scissors.

First we drew around the tile on the back of the scrapbook paper and then cut the squares out.

With our foam brush we put Mod Podge on the tile FIRST, then laid the scrapbook paper on top and then applied another layer of Mod Podge:

Let dry until thoroughly dry. After dry, spray the top of the tiles with clear enamel spray.

Super easy and super cute, right?

Next apply your felt or plastic tabs on the back of your tiles. Here is the kind that we used which we purchased at Home Depot.

After these tabs are on, they are ready to go!

These would make a darling wedding gift for some newlyweds that you know. My daughter wrapped hers up and couldn’t wait to try them out on her water-ring-free coffee table!

This Pin Rocks!
