There is so much love in his face for his grandpa and you see grandpa’s silent back as he patiently gives his attention to his beloved grandson. But i will try to capture more with grandpa’s face for the kids in the future.

I do this all the time, I’m always avoiding being in the picture! I see a family picture and instead of looking at the celebration, I’m just looking and judging me. How silly! It can’t be that everyone in the picture is flawless and I’m the dud. I love your site and am going to bookmark this and I think before every get together read it. Yes, I too am over weight. I know for a fact that when my 7 grand children are with their Grandpa and I that that is the last thing they are thinking. They look at us with love as I did my Grandma. Thank you for this post! A critical mother has left me afraid of all my “flaws”.It is so true that I don;t see it in others,just the love they exude and the beauty of who they are .
The love I have received from our first grandchild is proof that it is who we are not how we look!

Several years I was going to visit me daughter out of state and she had asked if I would go with them for family portraits. I told her no . “How would I look?” She said “like my mama!” Then the light dawned, she loves me for who I am , not how I look, so I said “oh. OK”
