Mississippi Sin Dip

Ingredients
  

  • 1 16 oz container sour cream
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese room temperature
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onion save some green ends for sprinkling after baking
  • 1/2 cup chopped or diced ham
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 or 2 loaves of uncut french bread

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Slice the top off of an uncut loaf of french bread and hollow out the middle. Don't get too close to the crust as you need the surrounding edges to be sturdy.
  • Blend the sour cream and cream cheese until well incorporated.
  • Stir in the grated cheddar cheese, green onions and ham. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spoon the cheese mixture into the hollowed out loaf of bread.
  • With heavy duty foil, wrap the loaf with two layers of foil.
  • Place in oven for 1 hour.
  • Remove and sprinkle on some green onion ends if desired.
  • Serve with bread cut into cubes or crackers.
