5 Minute Nutella Mug Cake

I’m back again to bring you something you won’t be able to resist.  5 Minute Nutella Mug Cake!  I found this gem on Pinterest and just had to try it.  It’s one of my guilty pleasures, and let me tell you, this is a Pinterest success.  I made 3 mugs worth and ended up eating all of them.   The very best part about this recipe is that it takes 5 minutes!

Here’s the recipe:

  • 1/4 cup self-rising flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, or more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®), or more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

I didn’t have cocoa powder lying around so I ended up using baker’s unsweetened chocolate.  It was surprisingly easy to get into a powder by shaving the chocolate with a knife (or you could just go buy cocoa powder).

I just finished eating my third mug of Nutella cake and I’m thinking about going back for fourths!  I hope you liked this Pinterest success!
