We decided on the traditional Grandpa & Grandma, but that’s not how it turned out. I had quit work to take care of “Snuggie” when she was 6 weeks old (and her sister “Snook” came along 2 yrs later) so we were together 4 days a week. One vacation when “Snuggie” was abt 15 mos old I had gone into the airport restroom and when I came out she yelled “GaGa” at the top of her lungs. Everyone around was laughing and that was when I became GaGa. They have changed it to Gammy now, not Grammy. As for my husband, “Snuggie” came running down the hall as he came home after work and attached herself to his leg saying PaPa…PaPa…PaPa. He is still PaPa. Love our Adorables!

So glad I found your blog! I’m a gramma as well (4 yr.old & 2 1/2 yr.old). I wouldn’t worry about what you would like to be called..they will name you!! We’ve been Nama (she was quite young when she started talking) and Tampa LOL! It started out as Sampa..derivation of “it’s grandpa”..then changed to Tampa. Our little grandson just fell in line! We just love our names and our grandkids!
P.S. Why are all the pictures in your blogs so elongated? Can’t even make out how they should look. I’ve never had this problem before. Help!
