It's funny how much this comes up as a blogger. I'm Canadian, but if I post recipes using our measurements I get so many questions about converting measurements. Usually I try to post things in cup since even beginners know how to use those. I think on my own site I may add a quick link to conversion sites. I use them all the time. I also just type in the query and google pulls up the conversion right on the page. So handy. I hesitate to use weight only because it seems most folk don't have kitchen scales. I had mine out on the counter 3 times today. Those suckers come in handy.

Love your profile name. Huge Star Wars fan. Thanks for weighing in.

"Normal?" You do realize everyone else uses the metric system, and that it is actually the normal system, right? And it's actually a lot easier to use. Most measuring cups do have metric on them, and even on the products themselves, the containers will have a metric measurement on them, so you can use that to get the right amount at the store.

Also, when baking, if you weigh out your ingredients, you get much better and more consistent results. I know it seems weird to Americans who use volume and an outdated measurement system, but you should give it a try. Even with a fairly inexpensive scale, it's pretty awesome.

Hi Gloria. I'm from Canada so our measurements are a bit different than yours. But I'll do my best to convert for you.

Cool Whip conversion if I recall is: 1L = 4 cups
Marshmallow Fluff if I recall is: 198ml = 7 ounces
Cherry Pie Filling is 1 can. Our cans are 540ml, this is the one I use: https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/edsmith-cherry-pie-fill-540-ml/6000023270686

I hope this helps. If I get a chance on the weekend I'll grab a cool whip and fluff to measure in cups which might be helpful. If you need any more help just holler at me.

The recipe starts out in normal measurements and then when I came to Cheesecake dip ingredients, the amounts are in measurements I am not familiar with in the USA. How much is 1 L of Cool Whip? How much is 198 grams of Marshmellow fluff? 540 ml of cherry pie filling is how many cans?

Thank you.
