In reply to Sara. I tried this toothpast trick last summer, didn't work for me either. I saw a video on Facebook about the headlights..... Use bug spray. It has to have at least 25% deet as the main ingredient (The video calls for deet 40%). I already had a can of deep woods off with deet so of course I tried it. Saturate an old rag with the bug spray. Wipe off the headlight and OMG, all the yellow is GONE!! Took less than a minute. After I finished cleaning it, I put a coat of car wax on it to seal it back up. When headlights get this bad, there is no cure, just maintenance! You have to repeat this process every couple of months, but a can of bug spray is cheaper than buying new headlights. Try it, it will work!!

I am going to try this. I hope it works as well on my headlights. The only thing is, I’ve heard that when this technique is used, the headlights will oxidize faster between treatments. Also, that you are really supposed to wax and buff them afterward to protect them. Again, great tip. I want to try because my headlights are so bad, you can almost see the shadow of the car behind me, in front of me because their lights are so much brighter than mine!!! This would be much cheaper than buying new headlights. 😀

WD-40 works as well! Spray some on a towel, wipe, and you have similar results! Something my father taught me.

To clean bugs off the grill and Paint of the car…Put in a spray bottle a Dryer Sheet and let it sit for a few minutes. Now spray the grill and painted areas where you find all the bugs then follow up with a clean soft cloth. It is amazing how slick this is when the bugs are built up from a long trip. Try it!….

I loved the tip on how to clean the tray on my fridge water dispenser! So I wil have to tell my hubby to try this on his car headlights! For some reason the headlights have a fog on the glass that just doesn’t come clean no matter what he does! He will be happy dancing if this works on his headlights! Thanks Debbie!

Wow! What a difference. The only thing is mom, I’m not sure you should admit that you didn’t have toothpaste at the house already! And then that the only reason you went to the store was to try it out on your headlights. (Brushing your teeth was actually an afterthought wasn’t it?) Just sayin….
