Another help in peeling eggs is the age of the egg. The fresher the egg the more the membrane sticks to the egg. When you know you’re going to need a dozen hard boiled eggs buy your eggs about 5 days in advance . The peeling goes way easier then with either your hands or a spoon 😀

If you poke a hole before boiling, won’t egg start coming through the hole and into the water? I’ve had that happen when my eggs cracked while boiling before and they didn’t crack right away or anything, so I wonder if they had a hole even earlier on, if even more egg would spill out.
