Ice cream sandwich is that you?!? Who would have thought you could get such an elegant looking dessert out of the humble ice cream sandwich? The folks at Real Simple, that’s who. I thought it was a great idea, and I am not the only one. It has been pinned 173,555 times! But does this Ice Cream Dream Cake really taste as good as it looks? It does friends, and it is easy to make. The versatility of toppings, flavors and add ins are endless. I am thinking mint chip with a layer of fudge, or butter pecan with a layer of caramel maybe? I recommend piping the top layer of whipped cream for a prettier presentation. When I served this, no one guessed it was ice cream sandwiches! Having friends over for a cookout? Wouldn’t this be the perfect way to end the meal? I suggest you make a few at least, because they will go fast.
