I do it the easiest and cheapest way, here in Brazil. Would like if you tried it there where you live and tell me what you think about it, or if it works there too. Just 2 ingredients: concentrated fabric softener and warm water. I measure the main ingredient by eyeball, but I think it is about 60 ml of concentrated fabric softener. I put it in a bin (usually an empty dish detergent of 500 ml) and fill the rest of the container with warm water. Do it a good shake, and that´s all. It lasts forever to empty it again, because it makes a lot of cleaning to waste all that solution. Just apply it with a little dump cloth, until you see that the surface became dry. Then, with a clean piece of cloth I clean just about everything with it: in the kitchen all cleanable elements, from tiles to appliances (even the stainless steel type), to doors and furniture (all kinds - it´s excellent to all kinds, even wood or laminated), to stones and floor (all kinds), glass, all of kinds, from windows to appliances doors). Just use a little detergent if there is a strong greased place first, if there isn´t that much grease, just this solution is enough to clean very well. In the bathroom, any imaginable everywhere, from tiles to glass box shower. Oh it´s miraculous on the mirror! In the bedroom, again, any imaginable everywhere. It´s really good on wooden windows and on their glasses. It cleans and applies a thin film that will protect everything for weeks. Then you must just dust it with a clean cloth, until it needs to be really cleaned again. On the living room, again, everywhere. On really dirt with dust windows for example, I must apply many times before I get the wood totally clean, and it seems like it received a new paint. Just be sure to not mix bigger amount of the concentrated fabric softener, in order to not get a greasy cleaner. And on the floor, it makes it slippery, so be aware and take care after applying the solution, even in a small amount it really makes a big difference. If you won´t be using it at once (I bet not), boil the water first, wait it to get warm before making this solution, because of the microorganisms in the water, so it won´t get lost until you use every bit of the solution. I was the type of person that would have just about everything of cleaning products. Now, I have just this solution, vinegar, and bleach (the strong type, to disinfect like toilet) and the common kitchen detergent to wash dishes. I haven´t used even wax in the floor (both, tiles and wooden type). I haven´t tried the home made soap to wash clothes yet, because I can´t find the washing soda, just the baking soda here, and it´s sold in small packets of 50 gr, but I loved it when I lived in Japan and could buy it in a 2 kg packet. Well, that´s it, I hope that I could get it understandable. If not, please, ask, and I will answer. I really would like to know if the fabric softener in other countries have the same characteristics. There are people that put a little alcohol in the solution too, but I don´t do that, for 2 reasons, first, I´m afraid it could damage the furniture vernier, and second, I really don´t feel it is needed, it has worked so well this way.

Aha! I see why you want daily maintenance on the outside. I would suggest a spray bottle of this same solution for the outside to spray and wipe down. You could keep a small bottle handy in or near the shower. Hope this helps.

The cleaning solution in the wand as well as the scrubbing from the nonabrasive pad do a great job of removing the soap scum. There is no residue. You can quickly and easily clean your shower doors every 2 or 3 weeks!

Lillian, the sponges are made to swap. So easy. Just follow the instruction on the package. I use my water dispenser a lot, so if you are thinking of me that often, we must be good friends! LOL!Isn't making friends in the blogging community great! Sure glad we found you...or I guess you found us! Either way, it's a good thing.

I love this idea!!! We squeegee our shower doors too, but still have some water spots! I've never used one of those wands...How did you swap out the original sponge on the wand? Did you have to glue on the new one? I have drips on my walls from condensation too...lol! I wish there was an easy fix for that!

BTW...I smile and think of you everytime I look at my drip tray on my fridge door water dispenser! So shiny and clean!
