I hadn&#8217;t crocheted any &#8220;granny square&#8221; patterns before so I was curious to see how difficult it would be and how it would turn out.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.thisgrandmaisfun.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Becketts-Baby-Blanket-600.jpg"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class=" size-full wp-image-20251 aligncenter" src="https://www.thisgrandmaisfun.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Becketts-Baby-Blanket-600.jpg" alt="Beckett's-Baby-Blanket-600" width="600" height="1067" /></a></p>
<p>First things first, let explain what kind of &#8220;<span style="color: #33cccc;">crocheter</span>&#8221; I am. Some people enjoy very complicated patterns that require alot of time and effort.</p>
<p>I am not one of those people. I want a pattern that I can do with as <span style="color: #ff9900;">LITTLE</span> thought and effort as possible. I want to <span style="color: #800000;">sit</span> on the couch and crochet while watching a TV show that I don&#8217;t like (because my husband chose it) and crochet away without having to refer to instructions or do a lot of &#8220;stitch counting&#8221;. I find an <span style="color: #00ffff;">easy repetitive</span> stitch that requires little thought or talent to be very soothing. In the end I want a blanket that looks just a<span style="color: #99cc00;"><span style="color: #000000;">s</span> beautiful </span>as the ones with complicated patterns.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class=" size-full wp-image-20252 aligncenter" src="https://www.thisgrandmaisfun.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Becketts-Baby-Blanket-6002.jpg" alt="Beckett's-Baby-Blanket-6002" width="600" height="1067" /></p>
<p>I got <span style="color: #ff00ff;">everything</span> I wanted with this pattern. It took around 10 to 15 minutes to learn/figure out the pattern and I was off and running! I made this blanket while we drove to Utah to attend my niece&#8217;s baby shower. Yes I was cutting it pretty close but got it done in time for the baby shower! It took around 10 hours including the border to complete. If you look closely you will notice I did a few extra rows for my border.</p>
<p>I <span style="color: #993366;">LOVE</span> how it turned out.</p>
<p>My Results&#8230;&#8230;</p>
<p><em><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">This Pin ROCKS!</span></strong></em></p>
