Wicked Good Chocolate Chip Cookies

How many chocolate chip cookie recipes do you have?  Seriously.  Come on, fess up.  I will admit that I have the Original Toll House, Mrs. Fields, Blue Chip Cookie, Neiman Marcus, a recipe where you pulverize oatmeal into a flour and probably up to five unknown, unnamed chocolate chip recipes in my cookie arsenal.

Well today’s post is about home organization and chocolate chip cookies.  It’s about home organization because I am here to tell you that you can throw all of your other chocolate chip cookie recipes away which will organize your recipe file and you will also receive The.Best.Chocolate.Chip.Cookie.Recipe. EVER.

However, I’m afraid this may start a family feud.  Shhh…..Don’t talk out loud, but one of my sisters truly believes and is under the mistaken notion that SHE  has the best chocolate chip cookie recipe.  I am happy to let her have her happy delusion but only because she has not made these cookies yet.  Ignorance is bliss.

I pinned this recipe from Flavor Sings and it is now my go-to recipe for chocolate chip cookies.  These are soft, fat cookies that don’t flatten out making the chocolate chips look like huge pimples on someone’s face.  I’m sorry.  I’m sure you could have gone all day without THAT mental image.

I would heartily recommend using the large milk chocolate chips from Ghirardelli.    Good ingredients is the key. Because then you have cookies coming out that look like this:

You will not be disappointed.  Make a batch of these Wicked Good Chocolate Chip Cookies today and give some to a friend.  Or maybe my sister.
